Anti-plague institute lab worker died in Shelekhov hospital after severe pneumonia
A 28-year-old employee of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute was hospitalized on 29 Sep with severe pneumonia in Shelekhov, placed on a ventilator, and died on 1–2 Oct. That she died is not in doubt; whether it was plague is disputed (see the separate claim on the cause of death).
